Website Design in Whitby kicked up a notch!
Continuous learning is important for any professional. Clients and customers need to be confident that you are delivering a quality, up-to-date service or product. Last night’s WordPress meetup at the Whitby Public Library was a meeting of website design and developer professionals and enthusiasts. It was fabulous to be in the company of others who are curious about and committed to great website design and development. WordPress is used by 34% of the web and there are over 54,000 WordPress plugins to extend the functionality of your website to meet the needs of your unique business.
WordPress is where graphic design happens on your website, and I was glad to learn more about the newest features that I can use to create great websites for my clients. Over 30,000 themes are fully customizable with your logo, branding, content, and functionality. The possibilities are endless! Last night’s meeting also touched on many of the topics that concern businesses most about their websites…SEO, security, responsiveness, analytics, and ease of management. My mind was swimming with possibilities for my clients!
For me, the meetup was a big success, and judging from the group dynamic and participation, others thought so, too. The meetings will be ongoing and will be a valuable resource for website designers and developers in Whitby, and across Durham. The learning was great (thanks to our hosts Matt and Andy), but the best part of the evening for me was being in a supportive professional community of learners.
